The Lake House, located in Orange County, California, is completely reimagined to strengthen its connection to the lake and surrounding natural environment, while maximizing natural light throughout. A central staircase, expressed through floor-to-ceiling glazing, anchors the home’s visual and circulation core, drawing daylight deep into the interior and creating a seamless visual link to the outdoors.At the client’s request, a mid-level meditation and soaking tub is discreetly integrated into the home’s form, positioned to capture tranquil lake views. Overhead, a large roof void floods the space with daylight and frames the night sky for stargazing.

The material palette—earth-toned and natural—blends with the landscape, while warm soffited roof planes soften the architecture, lending a refined yet grounded presence.
